Joe, the Magnetic Separation Rack for 8 or 16 PCR Tubes or Strips

The magnetic separation rack for PCR tubes is designed for strips or single tubes with different volumes. It features an additional holder for pipetting steps away from the magnet, e.g. for resuspension of beads, ensuring precise bead cleanups, DNA extraction, and more. It is available in two sizes: for 8 tubes (one PCR strip) or 16 tubes, and elegant gold-plated magnets.

An anti-wobble mechanism keeps the tubes firmly aligned with the magnets to prevent the beads being churned. For bead cleanups, DNA extraction, the 0.2 ml tube magnetic rack is compatible with all kinds of beads, e.g. AMPure XP, Dynabeads, Sera-Mag, etc. The magnets are strategically positioned at an angle to the tubes for enhanced speed and efficiency. Thanks to the long magnets, the rack can be used for full PCR tubes of any size as well as low-volume elution (see pictures for an example of an elution in 5 μL).
